Wonderland in Alice: The Uncertainty Principle
This was the play which began The Experimental Artists' Theatre (EAT) in Lubbock. Working from scratch on an idea which emerged from a Theater History course I was teaching, we made it work. During the process we lost our original venue due to the play's content, and was refused rental opportunity at one other for the same reason. Finally, the Lubbock First Unitarian Universalist Church welcomed us in, not caring about the content. The play eventually was produced in New York by Ben Gougeon and Doug Spagnola at the Dionysus Theatre Complex's L'il Peach Theatre.
In contrast to my other works, this play is tame. What was most offensive were Syphilitic Worm who told Dead Baby Jokes and the "Leave it to Beaver" scene in which a screaming baby turns out to be a gigantic vulva puppet. Below is an excerpt from the Syphilitic Worm scene.
